Easter
is approaching fast and finding the perfect decoration for this season can be a
hard job. If you don’t want to waste time in different stores searching for
decorations, then choose the simple and creative way of creating them yourself.
This way you can be sure that the decoration will fit your personality and
taste and that your neighbors and friends won’t have the same Easter decoration
in their home. Below you will find the steps of how to make an Easter basket
out of a grocery bag.

The
supplies you will need are:
- one paper
bag
- pencil and
a ruler
- hot glue
gun
- scissors
- clothes
pins
Take
the bag and place it on a table. Use the ruler to and the pencil to trace
strips on the bag. You will have to make 19, 1.75 inch sized strips. Cut the
strips and fold them in thirds. Take two strips and wrap them together to make
the handle of the basket. Secure with clothes pins. Weave together the strips
as shown in the picture (6x6 strips) and apply hot glue to the corners. Take
two strips and cut them in half, them glue them to the end of the other strips
to make them longer. Start folding the strips to make the edge of basket. Fold
the center strips and add the ends to the handle of the basket. Attach the
handles using the hot glue gun. Take three lengthened ends and weave them round
the basket. Trim the ends and tuck them in the sides of the basket to finish
the decoration. You can place the Easter eggs and chocolates inside the basket,
add some freshly cut grass and you are done.
